Scientifica were delighted to win a National Apprenticeship Awards (NAA) for Medium-Sized Employer of the Year - South East In September 2013.
The awards receive in excess of 1,600 high quality entrants every year. The NAA's celebrate the achievements of the country's most outstanding apprenticeship employers and their apprentices.
Within a busy team at Scientifica's Maidenhead factory, 16% are apprentices, yet this is set to grow.
This matches the increase of employees with Scientifica's Sussex headquarters where staff numbers have grown 30% within a year to drive Scientifica's international footprint.
Scientifica sees the employment and advancement of apprentices as a key factor in the success of the company.
Peter Knights, Scientifica's engineering manager said:
"Our Apprenticeship model is exceptional because we are totally committed to mentoring apprentices to ensure that they all become fully fledged engineers."
Scientifica will now proceed through to a final national judging stage; winners will have the additional honour of featuring in the acclaimed England's Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers list.
