Scientifica Meets - Jordan Murray
Scientifica met Jordan Murray during the Advanced Optical Microscopy for Cell Biology course at the Marine Biological Association, Plymouth. Jordan is a PhD student in the lab of Professor Gail McConnell at the University of Strathclyde, where he uses the Mesolens to study population dynamics in Streptomyces bacteria.
As a student on the course in Plymouth, Jordan shares that he learnt about various microscopy techniques, including STED microscopy, super-resolution and two-photon imaging, which included imaging his own samples on Scientifica’s HyperScope multiphoton imaging system. Jordan enjoyed learning about the different techniques in talks given by scientists from labs around the world who are experts in their field.
