Home Secretary visits Scientifica's Maidenhead Factory

14/01/2015

The Rt. Hon. Theresa May MP recently visited Scientifca's factory for the second time and presented the Queen's Award for Enterprise: Innovation 2014 to the Scientifica staff who work in her Maidenhead constituency.

Managing Director Mark Johnson and Business Services Director Adrian Corbin showed the Member of Parliament around our factory on Friday 9th January and also introduced her to our apprentices George Hunter, Raj Gill, Jama Hersi and Kyle Matharu.

Mrs May was pleased to see the apprenticeship scheme in action within her constituency and having a positive effect on people in the town.

The UK Home Secretary then presented Mark and Adrian with the signature Queen's Award glass bowl for the innovation of our Multiphoton Imaging Systems.

Mrs May previously visited the facility in November 2012 when Scientifica won the Queen's Award for Enterprise: International Trade.
