Scientifica Meets - Rebecca Piskorowski, Institut de Biologie Paris-Seine
Scientifica recently had the pleasure of speaking to Rebecca Piskorowski, Group Leader at the Institut de Biologie Paris-Seine (IBPS), Sorbonne University.
Rebecca's team studies the hippocampus, and specifically how CA2+ contributes to the hippocampal function and circuitry, as it is implicated in lots of psychiatric diseases and epilepsy.
"We are currently using three SliceScopes, and we chose these scopes over other available models, because of their ease of use, the cost, and they're really optimal for optogenetic experiments....they are easy to maintain and learn how to use. They're pretty much perfect for what we want to do ."
